We are delighted to announce that the July-September edition of Social Work News is out now!

A bumper packed issue for the summer, this edition features a wide range of exclusive articles and interviews with high profile figures from across the sector which we’re sure you’ll enjoy.

We’ve given this issue a charitable focus and we’re delighted to bring you exclusive interviews with the National Deaf Children’s Society, Volunteering Matters and the NWG Network. As always, we want you to be inspired by the work undertaken by others across the country and we’re sure you’ll learn a lot from these inspirational organisations.

Elsewhere in the magazine you can read:

  • How to keep safe when you are at work

  • An interview with Anthony Douglas, CEO of Cafcass who lets us know more about their current priorities

  • A review of some of the latest social work text books

  • You share your opinions with us in our latest “have your say” feature

  • You can find out what it’s like to work in Torbay and in Hounslow

Finally, this issue also sees the return of our new Social Work Circle guest column – an exclusive insight into the views of social workers. This month, our social workers explore the ideas of whether they would benefit from having a mentor and whether there is such a thing as “proper” social work.
