As an early Christmas present, we are delighted to announce that the January-March issue of Social Work News magazine is out now!

This issue sees the launch of our brand new Social Work Circle – an exciting feature where YOU can contribute towards an anonymous guest column. This issue, our social workers ask how we can use our fighting power to remain an advocate, and if it’s important to care about our service users.

If you would like to contribute towards this new column, you can find out more here, or you can simply email press@mysocialworknews.com

This issue is jam-packed with informative articles and features including:
  • An interview with Frontline’s Leadership Development Director Mary Jackson, who shares her thoughts about the success of the social work training programme.
  • Child Bereavement UK tell us how you can effectively support those who have been bereaved
  • Find out more about our upcoming CSE training and networking event which is sponsored by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, who are also the subject of our Council Spotlight feature
  • Make a note in your diary of 2018’s upcoming social work-related events and conferences with our dedicated events calendar
  • Read an exclusive interview with the author of a new book which has been described as “a fantastic resource”
  • Learn how you can update your court skills
  • Benefit from career advice from our expert recruitment advisors

We hope that you enjoy this issue; it’s been a pleasure to write.

Don’t forget that reading the magazine can be classed as a CPD activity; you can document your thoughts using our downloadable CPD log
