Earlier this week (13th May), we were delighted to host our first ever live, interactive discussion which helped probation workers learn more about how they may be affected by the government’s upcoming Transforming Rehabilitation initiative.

The online chat was an exclusive opportunity for those working in the probation sector to ask questions to a panel of experts about what they could potentially expect from the changes.
During the discussion, questions were asked about a variety of different topics such as whether our panellists thought that there could be a change in computer systems, if there were any transferable skills which would allow workers to move onto new career paths and if there could be any changes to salary levels.

Replay the webinar.

We received positive feedback from those who joined in with the discussion, with John O’Grady, a Community Payback Supervisor, commenting: “It was wonderful – I got advice and direction. The expert panel were up-to-date and very helpful.” His thoughts were echoed by probation officer Zoe Harding, who described the discussion as “Very constructive and informative.”

Speaking about the event, Dan Allard said: “It was great to have the chance to speak to so many people and find out about their concerns. Our panel did a great job of answering the questions and it was definitely a lively discussion. I’d like to thank everyone who joined in with us, we really enjoyed it and we are looking forward to the next discussion in June.”

The date of our second online discussion is to be confirmed. Watch this space!
