Do you have an inspiring colleague who deserves to be praised for their hard work? If you do, make sure you nominate them for a Social Worker of the Year Award.

As headline sponsors, we are delighted to say the 2016 Social Worker of the Year Awards are now open for entry

Entering a sixth year, the awards are now a firm marker in the social work calendar. They recognise the invaluable work professionals up and down the country are doing to help some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

There are 17 categories, including both team and individual awards across adults and children’s services, along with those that recognise principal social workers, social work students, practice educators and mental health professionals.

The winners of the two overall awards – ‘Outstanding Contribution to Social Work’ and the Sanctuary sponsored ‘Overall Social Worker of the Year’ – will be selected by the Board of Trustees of the Social Work Awards Ltd., the charity that organises the annual celebration.

Highly regarded by England’s Chief Social Workers, politicians, and fellow practitioners, the awards attract a great deal of attention.  So if you know somebody who deserves to be recognised for their work, you have until 5.00pm on Friday 22nd July to submit your entry
