We’re delighted to bring you the latest issue of Social Work News magazine, our quarterly publication which shines a light on some of the best work taking place in our profession.

This issue, we’re bringing you news of exciting initiatives, details of practice models and innovative ideas to inspire you, as well as our usual round up of interviews, opinions and of course, your thoughts.

As you know, it is our aim to make our magazine the voice of the profession and we’re over the moon to see so many of you actively getting involved with the magazine. We love being able to share your thoughts and feedback – after all, this is your magazine! This issue, we feature more of your views than ever before, so we’d like to take the time to give you a massive THANK YOU for contributing. We hope that you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoy writing it – if you’ve any suggestions for features you would like to read or people you would like us to interview, please drop us an email via press@mysocialworknews.com

So what do we have in store for you this issue? Let’s take a look…
  • What would you do if you were the Chief Social Worker for a day? Our community share their thoughts.
  • Discover more about Loudmouth training, the innovative organisation providing CSE training and support.
  • Explore the latest model of self-care which is ideal to support and protect busy social work practitioners.
  • Find out about a ground-breaking digital music initiative which is helping young children.
  • Hear the viewpoint of a former care leaver, and discover how he thinks communication could improve between social workers and children/young people.

You can also read our usual articles including our popular Work/Life feature, Have Your Say and Social Work Circle, our exclusive article where YOU get to share your thoughts and feelings about the social work sector.

If you have a passion for social work and a flair with words, we’d love to hear from you for our Social Work Circle. Each issue we publish your thoughts on a topic which matters to you. To get involved, simply email us with your name, contact details and idea for what you would like to write about.
