Tuesday 15 July saw David Cameron complete a sweeping Cabinet reshuffle, which included removing Michael Gove from the position of education secretary.

He has been replaced by Treasury minister Nicky Morgan, one of the number of women who have been promoted into top jobs as part of the reshuffle.

Gove, who is to become the government’s Chief Whip, will now be responsible for party discipline and have an enhanced role in campaigning and doing broadcast media interviews.
