Due to the increasing demand of social workers our clients are currently looking for a senior practitioner to join their already experienced and friendly adult’s mental health department.

Post holders will be expected to work flexibly to provide urgent assessments and care planning to people in acute mental health care need in conjunction with other services. They will play an active role in the processing and actioning of response to people referred to the service.

The service is in the process of integration at present and the applicant will be expected to take part in this process.

Candidates will need to have a professional qualification in social work. (Diploma, CQSW, CSS, Masters). And have relevant experience with mental health. Also applicants will need to be registered or registering with the GSCC (General Social Care Council).

You will be committed to the principles of person centred delivery of care. You will need to be imaginative and broad in their outlook to care provision and able to work upon the initiative, whilst being committed to the principles and practise of effective team working.  

You will be expected to provide supervision role development will be actively encouraged. The team will provide a supportive environment in which to develop imaginative practise

This is initially a 8 Month contract position which is available to start straight away, but there is possibility for extension and even permanence depending on progress of the employee. The pay rate has been set at £25.45 per hour, not including the various expenses.
